
Business Builder...Sales Builder...Shipbuilder
There are two types of people in the business world… Shipbuilders and Sailors. A company can hire an MBA to run a business (i.e. sail a ship) and that’s very important to success, but there are very few that can actually build the ship, get it sea worthy, on the right course. The man to my right, Billy Mays was a great SAILOR. I am a SHIPBUILDER.
I learned this decades ago at NordicTrack® when the CEO walked into my office on the day I was promoted into a brand management leadership position in my late 20’s. He congratulated me but voiced his disagreement stating I was one of a couple people that demonstrated GSD (get s—- done) attitude…internally we called it Make It Happen. It was shortly after that promotion that I realized my true calling in making things happen and have been doing that ever since (circa 1990) in public and private companies; large and small.
In recent years, I have worked with entrepreneurs that couldn’t find success, they were literally down to their last $500 before they would call it quits, cancel their dreams… We turned their “last cash” into a windfall….making them millionaires in a year. Today, those companies continue to grow, provide great products that solve real problems. Most importantly, they believe in themselves, learned how to Make It Happen (i.e. GSD) and learned how to become a shipbuilder by following my three keys to success.

- 17-years of experience. Founded/managed consumer health & wellness products company annual revenues of $50 million and in excess of $200 million in the first three years, over $300 million total. INFOMERICAL OF THE YEAR WINNER.
- 30+ years of experience. Managed start-ups, early stage, small and mid-sized companies with annual revenues up to $100-million. Founder of successful product innovation and licensing company. Licensed some of the most successful branded IP in the industry. Known as a category creator. WINNER of 2003 Million Dollar Idea with patented dumbbell system that has now become a large fitness category with licenses to multiple manufacturers.
5-years of experience. Developed multiple fitness video on demand (VOD) businesses around fitness experts like 8 Minute Abs (guy) for 55+ markets, residential and commercial distribution.
15-years of experience. Created B2C and B2B weight loss business for LIFE TIME Healthy Way of Life that is still active (2014-present). Produced infomercials, spots and social media campaigns. Managed digital media business. Purchased, managed and analyzed media. It remains one of their most successful companies inside (CI).
Developed one of the first “real dose” weight loss systems called AdvantRx (1999-2003) for ingredient supplier HumaneticsCorp.com. Used doses actually used in clinical studies. Led sales until company repositioned as a Pharma company.
9-years of experience. Led start-up through early stage, nutritional, non-alcoholic beverage company and established national distribution. Marketed products B2B and through national distributors. Created and managed digital media campaigns. Created loyalty programs, worked with retailers with cause marketing.
2014 – Co-founder of Fury Beverages, maker of Nature’s Fury NutriDrink®. Acquired by public company. Active in market.
25+ years of experience. Created and managed brands in multiple categories. Grew key ingredient to #1 status in retail sales in the drug mass channel. Managed all phases from product development to sales, finance and operations. Created subscription business for recurring revenues. Managed both ingredient sales and branded products. Special emphasis on natural and performance.

2000 – Weight Loss Accelerator – created a patented weight loss product using patented 7-Keto® backed by two double-blind studies.
2000 – Joint Health – created a patented joint health product back by hundreds of studies with the ingredient MicroLactin®.
2000 – Muscle Energy – created a patented muscle energy product using an ingredient from pine trees called Pinetol.

2016 – lead social media and ecommerce sales for Zubaz.com.
2016 – Founder of PostureWear, an innovative design of compression wear to improve and correct posture deficiencies for both sedentary and active people.
2015 – Founder/Inventor/Developer of world’s first electronic shapewear using patented electronic muscle stimulation and SwissStim® technology. Product name is STIMFIT.com.
2014 – Also Developed patented wearable’s for monitoring body. Presented to APPLE prior to launch of Apple Watch, world’s most accurate monitor for burning calories.
2006 – Founder/Inventor/Developer of world’s more powerful electronic stimulation ab belt with annual revenues $50M+.
2003 – North American distributor for Slendertone® from BMR, Inc (Ireland) until acquisition ended distribution agreement in 2006.
6+ years experience. Launched and managed startup B2C business for lash, brow and skincare company with first year revenues nearly $2 million and total revenues over $5+ million in first 3 years.
35-years of experience. Efficient in Stage-Gate development process. Managed vendors globally. Worked with cross-functional teams in sourcing, operations, and engineering. Created profitable businesses from failing endeavors with my proprietary 30-60-90 Day Turnaround Process.
